Covid -19 reporting during May half term

Covid -19 reporting during May half term

REPORTING CORONAVIRUS CASES DURING THE MAY HOLIDAY
Dear Parents/ Carers,
Please see the guidance below for reporting a positive case of Coronavirus to school during the May break. Please remember, you need to tell school if your child has Covid-19. It is vital you tell us about positive tests so we can help prevent the spread of coronavirus in our community.
Where pupils, students or staff test positive for COVID-19 during half-term, having developed symptoms more than 2 days since being in school (Friday 28th May), no action is needed. Staff, children, parents and carers should follow contact-tracing instructions provided by NHS Test and Trace.

However, where pupils or staff test positive having developed symptoms within 2 days of being in school, we will be assisting in identifying close contacts and advising self-isolation, as the child or staff member may have been infectious whilst in school.

Parents/Carers and Rivington School Staff must contact school via the details below if symptoms of Covid-19 emerge within 48 hours of pupils/Rivington staff being in school.

Parents must ONLY contact school on 07794743232 or at head@rivington.lancs.sch.uk. Messages should not be left on the School phone as this will not be checked on a daily basis. Messages left via the two ways listed will be checked between 9-11am each day.

Where a pupil or staff member tests positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), having developed symptoms more than 48 hours since being in school, you do not need to contact school until Monday 7th June.

Thank you for all your continued support in keeping our community safe.

Best wishes, Sarah Annette
